It has been quite a while since the last contest, with Book 2 stuff to do and much more there has not been much time. So in the past few weeks since Book 2 ended we finally had some time to make a contest happen. While not initially planned as a Christmas Edition, some delays led to it becoming one.
This edition had the following theme
"Inspired by Beginnings, anything related to the Avatar World 10,000 years ago in Wan's time"
Those episodes while adding so much to the Avatar universe were also artistically stunning so what better theme to do.
The prizes are as follows
First Place – 10000 Community Points + A Custom User Rank on the site
Second Place – 7500 Points
Third Place – 5000 Points
Everyone else who participated gets 1000 points.
The final thing to mention before the results are the scoring system and how the points were calculated. Any member of the site could vote on the entries, including the artists (they cannot vote for their own piece). Each vote consisted of a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place vote each is assigned a point value: 1st Place = 3 points, 2nd Place 2 points and 3rd place 1 point. Points from every set of votes were added to give these final results. Artists were allowed to submit either 1 or 2 pieces if they wanted. Also up for grabs was the award for Best Idea, where the idea of the piece was great, but perhaps the execution was not quite perfect.
