Watch a couple of Avatar Episodes to find out for yourself why Avatar is such a good show! That's right you can watch every one of the fantastic avatar the last airbender episodes online for free, courtesy of Nickelodeon! Avatar is arguably one of the best cartoons ever made, liked by both youth, adults, male and female alike (which surprised both the creators and the publishers) Avatar The Last Airbender just has some lasting charm, humor, great Martial Arts, and an intriguing storyline which makes it so appealing, there is a character in the show that everyone can relate too, For some examples: [caption id="attachment_9" align="alignright" width="150" caption="Prince Zuko"]zukorender[/caption] Near the beginning of the show you meet Zuko who is the Prince of the Fire Nation and banished dishonorably for questioning generals spending soldiers lives as if they weren't people."  His Father the king of the Firenation permanently scars his son because of his supposed "Weakness" and banished him with only one way back;"  the capture of The Avatar a supernatural being designed from the beginning of the world to maintain balance and peace in the world."  Zuko becomes consumed by his need to capture the Avatar in order to restore his honor."  Over the course of the show however Zuko goes through several experiences which show him the consequences that the war of the Firenation is having on the people of the world and he slowly begins to question the values taught to him by his Culture and comes to reach his own conclusions about his own inner values and what really should be important to him. Zuko spent the majority of his life chasing a dream somebody else had for him, when he realized that he needed to look inside himself and do what was really important, it completely changed his life."  Eventually Zuko becomes "Good" and instead of Defeating the Avatar, helps him bring Peace to the War Ravaged land."  This transformation and dilemma Zuko found himself in is something I think nearly everyone can relate too. Zuko was not alone in his transformation, his biggest mentor was his Uncle (General Hiro)."  Uncle was a famous General in the Firenation Army and almost overtook the Earth Nations greatest city Ba Sing Se,"  However when Uncle had almost overtaken the entire City his son was killed, this crippled Uncle to the core and he left the fight resulting in a massive Fire Nation defeat."  Uncles loss however gave him the wisdom to see the terrible destruction his nation was causing to the others, having experience the pain of losing someone himself he could symphasize with the other nations."  Uncle gained the ability to see things through others eyes and adopted Zuko as his own son when he was banished (Zuko rejected him at first). [caption id="attachment_12" align="alignleft" width="150" caption="Uncle (General Iroh)"]Uncle (General Iroh)[/caption] Uncle showed extreme patience and fortitude to help Zuko in whom he saw great value, even though Zuko didn't want any help."  Uncle can be a great example to us of patience and a willingness to help everyone around them."  Uncle Iroh also brought out the best in people and helped them see a real way to having peace. Uncle gained wisdom and reason from a staggering loss (his son was killed in the war) through this he was able to see things through others eyes and in the end be one of the biggest protaginists in ending the violence caused by his own Nation. [caption id="attachment_17" align="alignright" width="150" caption="Toph "]toph[/caption] Another person who is easy to relate to is Toph The primary thing is her feeling of people short-selling her abilities because of a physical ailment, in her case blindness."  On top of that her over-protective parents do not allow her to make choices for hersef but make all her choices for her,"  Toph overcomes these problems by challenging them head-on and taking on challenges which will allow her to grow and become better."  Toph also isn't ashamed of her problem nor does she let her pride say that she can do things which she knows she can't."  She knows she is different than others but allows that difference to contribute to the team in a way that no one else can."  Everyone is unique and can contribute to a team in a way that no one else can."  No one should ever be ashamed if they are different, they just need to find how they can make the world a better place with their differences. [caption id="attachment_21" align="alignleft" width="150" caption="Sokka the Comic Relief"]Sokka the Comic Relief[/caption] Sokka feels insecure about his identity, the only person in the group of"  Aang, Toph, and Kitara to not have special Bending abilities Sokka sometimes feels like he can't contribute but as he discovers when he leaves the group his unique contributions to the group are essential."  The Comedy, the Map Guiding, the Swordsmanship."  Like Toph Sokka shows that just because you have some kind of difference or disability doesn't mean you can't contribute in a team environment. Katara naturally looks out for everyone and sometimes takes that responsibility to strongly which causes problems but also helps the group grow stronger together."  She is a natural leader and care giver. She puts other people before her own needs and is a great example to people. [caption id="attachment_24" align="alignright" width="150" caption="Katara"]Katara[/caption] [caption id="attachment_26" align="alignleft" width="150" caption="Avatar Aang"]Avatar Aang[/caption] Aang at first is running away from an insane task, to save the world from the ruthless fire nation."  He feels he is not ready for it, nor does he feel like he has the strength to do it."  Good at heart and with a playful attitude and a desire to help others Aang eventually overcomes his fear and is able to confront his destiny."  Using the help of this friends teamwork and a strange trainer Aang is able to look deep inside of himself and learn what it means to be The Avatar. Everyone can take a different message from Avatar, but I think one of the reasons Avatar is so good is because of unlike other shows it does actually have a message!"  One of teamwork, sacrifice, courage, balance, and love and acceptance of everyone no matter who they are. The combination of likable and relate-able characters, the gorgeous work of art every scene is, the lifelike Martial Arts scenes, plus the fantastic storyline which is funny, thought provoking and downright great. make Avatar The Last Air Bender One of the best (if not the best) Cartoon ever made.
