I don't think many fans expected there to be another Avatar/Korra panel at SDCC given the announcement last year, but it looks like we are getting an official panel. On Friday July 10th at 10am San Diego Time in room 25ABC we will get a panel called "Nickelodeon and Dark Horse Comics: Avatar The Last Airbender and The Legend Of Korra".
Here is the official description of the panel
"Come celebrate Nickelodeon's Avatar universe with the brilliant minds who created it all: co creators and executive producers Mike DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko. Mike and Bryan will discuss past storylines and tease the future at a panel full of surprises and behind-the-scenes stories."From what I am hearing it is in a smaller room than previous years, which makes sense given that Korra is over and the main news will come from the comics side of things, but the key thing for the future is the line "tease the future" and "full of surprises". So I assume we may get a few canon reveals about things, but in terms of big news it will definitely come from Dark Horse. I assume they will talk more about Smoke and Shadow, but at the same time we basically know everything we need to know about that series before release, we just need the book. The only thing to reveal still is the cover for Part 3. I think they will give us a hint as to what is coming after Smoke and Shadow whether that be the rumoured time skip in the ATLA comics or what I think everyone wants to happen, for them to announce Korra comics. I know that this reveal has suddenly got me crazy excited for SDCC this year. Thoughts?
